Libreville, Gabon – The President of the Republic of the Congo, H.E. Denis Sassou N’Guesso, departed Libreville on July 26, 2026, following a visit marked by high-level diplomatic engagements and a tour of some of the most emblematic development projects launched under Gabon’s Fifth Republic.
Before his departure, the Congolese Head of State visited some of the country’s flagship infrastructure projects, including Cité Émeraude and Baie des Rois, two landmark developments that embody Gabon’s ambitions in urban planning, economic attractiveness, and sustainable development.
The visit took place alongside the President of the Gabonese Republic, H.E. Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, and the First Lady, Mrs. Zita Oligui Nguema, highlighting the close relationship between Libreville and Brazzaville and the shared determination of both leaders to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the tour, President Denis Sassou N’Guesso witnessed firsthand the scale of the transformation underway in Gabon.
